Fishing San Juanillo

With some of the best fishing in Costa Rica and the shortest ride to the offshore grounds, Fishing San Juanillo is a hidden gem on the Guanacaste coast. Only a short drive from Nosara and Guiones and a little over 1 hour from Tamarindo.

Aside from the fishing, our bay offers calm clear water for swimming, snorkeling or paddle boarding or you can enjoy some great food and drinks at the beachfront Cocobolo Beach restaurant.

If you want to go fishing in Nosara then San Juanillo, which is just 30 minutes to the North, is a great option and fun day trip for the whole family.

We are on the water everyday so when inshore, we focus on the fishing methods and target species that have been on the bite most recently. We are casting popers, jigging, trolling or live baiting working the water column from reef to reef targeting Pargo, Cubera, Grouper, Jacks, Rooster fish, Amberjack and White tuna. We also drop big baits down in the deep when the currents allow for some fun bottom fishing.
